´Stück´
Discussion series ´Speaking their minds! or How do I look at dance?´continues with a special performance.
In this 40 minute solo performance, Caroline Simon surprises the audience with a sumptuous production in which the performer plays all the roles: dance, choreography, light, projections, even her own (dance-) partner. She establishes a unique, virtual space creating new technical possibilities and a movement vocabulary, wrapped in humour, fantasy and irony. The audience surprises itself, its imagination being triggered and challenged. ´Stück´ (A Piece) is a piece with impressive situations and astonishing twists.
Caroline Simon was born in Brussels and studied at the Rotterdam Dance Academy and P.A.R.T.S. Since 2001 she lives and works in Cologne.
´Stück´ was selected as one of the top 10 performances by young choreographers in 2008 by the Aerowaves network.
