IMAGINING BODIES: LANDSCAPE, MEMORY, COMMUNITY
A symposium of dance performances, papers, installations, roundtables and workshops
Presented by the Department of Choreography, Institute of Fine Arts, Tallinn University
Choices about how the body is trained, choreographed and performed shape the past and form the future. Imagining Bodies: Landscape, Memory, Community examines relationships between bodies and communities – looking at how dance and body based practices intersect with dialectics of nation and identity across shifting global terrains and economies.
Dance artists and scholars from Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, Armenia,
Slovakia, India, South Africa, Australia, Brazil, Canada, the United States of America and the
United Kingdom will come together for three days of corporeal conversations.
